Ewekoro LG council boss celebrates 100 days in office with a developmental project and human capacity

The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa (ESKAY) has commended the Governor Of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, for allowing the will of the people to prevail through the credible, free and fair elections despite the daunting challenges but for the doggedness, dexterity, and resilience of His Excellency, the elections would have been a mirage. 


  Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa made the commendation while delivering his speech during the 100 days in office ceremony held at Arigbajo market square, Arigbajo in Ewekoro Local Government. 


   Hon Adesina, therefore on behalf of the entire good people of Ogun State and especially Ewekoro Local Government expressed appreciation to His Excellency with the promise to give unflinching support to the present administration in Ogun State. 


   The Local Government boss also extended his appreciation to the entire populace of coucil area for their cooperation, steadfastness, and understanding displayed since the advent of the administration. 

He said, "Their pieces of qualitative advice, support for government activities and spirit of communalism has proved invaluable in guiding the government to make decisions which are beneficial to the people. "


 The workforce of Ewekoro Local Government was not left out in the chairman's appreciation as he commended for their commitment and dedication which had enabled the young administration to forge ahead and record remarkable success even in the midst of acute shortage of resources, noting that their concerted efforts have yielded positive results in no small measure.
 
  In the same vein, Hon Adesina described the legislative council, ably led by Hon Abiola Muheeb Kehinde had been a laudable partner in progress. 


   The Executive Chairman, also, seized the opportunity to acknowledge the support of the Royal Fathers and traditional institutions as well as community development associations for their tireless efforts at lifting Ewekoro Local Government to enviable heights. 


   Speaking further, Hon Adesina disclosed that his administration had partnered with the private sector in order to improve the living standards of the people and ensure that the much needed dividends of democracy gets to the grassroot populace. He said through the P. P. P. ------private Public Partnership, the administration had been able to embark on some developmental projects which included:
Construction of 32 Lock-up Shops at Yeye Olufunke Shopping Complex. 
Construction of 17 Lock-up Shops at Obada Oko Comprehensive high school,  repair of the Local Government grader to ensure that all the gradeable earth roads are made motorable and convenient for the people, most especially, the rural dwellers not to be left out of all round development agenda of his administration. 


Also, on education, the administration has awarded scholarship to fifty indigenes and non-indigenous students at Owu College of Management Technology. Distribution of 5,000 Units of customized exercise books to primary school pupils accross the Local Government. Cash empowerment for the people selected from the ten wards of the council area. And to cap it up, sod-turning of 84 units Lock-up Shops and 40 Open Stalls with the promise to complete it within the 12 calendar months. 


    Speaking at the event, the Olu of Itori, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Fatai Akamo Akorede, expresed his appreciation to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, for the tremendous achievements being recorded in all sectors and even distribution of projects across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State. 

  The Royal Father while equally commending the Executive chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Adesina Sikiru's unprecedented achievements within 100 days in office which according to him was amazing, therefore advised the executive chairman not to rest on his oars and know that it is not by his power but by the grace of God.


  However, Oba Abdul Fatai Akamo, also warned Hon Adesina not to get involved in traditional court cases in order not to tarnish his image with the prayer that all the desires of the Chairman would come to fulfillment. 

  The colourful and electrifying event that was broadcast live on MILIKI FM was witnessed by political big-wigs,party faithful, traditional rulers, artisans, students , market men and women, both the executive and legislative members as well as the principal officers of Ewekoro Local Government.
